It's time to upgrade your subconscious mind.

The subconscious is the part of the mind that makes decisions without us ever having to actively think about them.

Our subconscious mind rules our life. Neuroscience has found that 90% of everything we do every single day is automatic and unconscious. To max out your life, you need to upgrade your subconscious. There are two main ways to do this.

~Jim Fortin

A bit about repetition:

It's been said that it takes 21 days to form a new habit.  Studies now indicate that depending on the behavior, the person, and the circumstances, it actually takes between 18 to 254 days for long-term habit change.

(According to a 2009 study published in the European Journal of Social Psychology.)

Repetition creates long-term habits as long as you stick with that behavior until it becomes subconscious.

Unfortunately, most people fall back into old, subconscious behavior patterns quickly.

Why is this?  Because as humans we want to stay in our comfort zones.

If change is not pleasurable for you, you will most likely fall back into old habits.

For habits to stick, they must become subconscious.

This is where hypnosis comes in.

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a trance-like state where people experience heightened awareness, concentration and suggestibility.  Hypnosis is often described as being asleep, however, it is more accurately a state of heightened suggestibility and focused attention.  People in hypnosis appear to be asleep, when in reality, they are in a state of hyper-awareness.

What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a form of therapy used to reprogram the subconscious mind.  While there are many myths and misconceptions, hypnosis has been used for over a 100 years as a therapeutic tool used to reprogram the subconscious mind.  Because a person is in a heightened state of awareness, they are more susceptible to suggestions for self-improvement and behavior modification.

A few myths to be aware of:

  • You cannot get stuck in hypnosis – this is simply impossible.

  • You do not become in any way unconscious.

  • You will never, at any time, do things you do not want to do.

  • You are totally aware of yourself and your surroundings at all times.

  • You do not go to sleep.

  • You are not in anyone’s power, and nobody can take control of you.

  • You can leave the hypnotic state whenever you want.

  • You cannot lose your mind.

  • Hypnosis cannot permanently remove memories or thoughts from your mind.

  • You will not suddenly blurt out your ‘dark’ secrets.

  • Hypnosis cannot make you act against your morals.

  • You do not say or do ‘funny things’ unless you want to.

  • Hypnosis is a perfectly natural state of mind and body and is therefore perfectly safe.
